Online Sources
Function: Employer (Peak Body)
In 1988, a number of prominent healthcare representatives created the the National Association of Nursing Homes & Private Hospitals Inc. as a result of the difficulties that had arisen from trying to adequately represent private enterprise, government or church and charitable organisations. Registered in 1992 under the Federal governments' industrial relations legislation, the Association has since amalgamated with INHECA in Victoria and NHA in Western Australia, and has formed affiliations with the Association of Supportive Care Homes and the Australian Association of Day Endoscopy Centres.
