| The Perth Chamber of Commerce was established in 1890 and continued to operate until 1983 when a merger with the Federated Chambers of Commerce of Western Australia saw its demise. The merger, however, created the West Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry which became the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Western Australia following a further merger with the Confederation of West Australian Industry in 1992.
