Related EntriesOnline Sources
Function: Trade Union (Federal)
The State Public Services Federation was formed in 1976, although a similar union had operated from 1921 until its deregistration in 1949. In 1990 the State Public Services Federation amalgamated with the Professional Officers' (State Public Services & Instrumentalities) Association, and with the University Library Officers' Association in 1992. The Union retained through both mergers the title of the State Public Services Federation. In 1994, the Federation deregistered but its members went on to become a part of the CPSU, the Community & Public Sector Union.
