The Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce [VACC] was established in 1918 when a group of motor garage proprietors from Ballarat, Geelong and Melbourne met to form an association for their mutual benefit. In 1940 the VACC was registered as a Peak Employer Body under the Commonwealth's Conciliation and Arbitration legislation and has continued to provide employers in the retail motor industry with a range of services to assist them to manage their business.
