Eighth Intercolonial Trades Union Congress (1898)

Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Held in Adelaide in April 1898, thirty-one delegates attended, representing New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. The Congress passed two main resolutions: (i) urging Trades and Labour Councils to discuss the raising of funds to pay union organisers and (ii) urging a minimum wage for the whole of Australia. This was the last Intercolonial trade Union Congress.

It is understood that proceedings were published for this congress. To date details of these proceedings have not been located.
