The Australian and International Pilots' Association [AIPA] is the professional and industrial organisation representing the interests of over 1700 Qantas pilots and flight engineers. AIPA was formed in 1981, breaking away from a larger organisation to satisfy a need for autonomous control of its own industrial destiny.
