Registered under the New South Wales Trade Union Act on the 5 February 1890 and operating until about 1917, the Cutters' & Trimmers' Union of New South Wales merged with the Federated Clothing Trades of the Commonwealth of Australia Industrial Union of Employees, to take advantage of the provisions of the Commonwealth Arbitration Act.
