| Albert Thompson was an organiser for the Milk and Ice Carters and Dairymens Employees' Union of New South Wales from 1936 and from was General Secretary from 1943 until 1962. An active member of the ALP, he was associated with the Labor Council of New South Wales and was an alderman on the Sydney City Council from 1948-1953. |
