Barrie Unsworth was an organiser for the Electrical Trades Union from 1961-1967; formerly MLA (NSW) for Rockdale; Assistant-Secretary of the New South Wales Labor Council, 1975-1979; Secretary of the New South Wales Labor Council, 1979-1984 and Premier of New South Wales from 1986-1988.
