Function: Regulatory Body
Location: New South Wales
The Industial Court in New South Wales was established by the Industrial Disputes Act of 1908. It constituted a Supreme Court or District Court Judge appointed for a period of seven years. The Court had power to arbitrate on conditions of employment and could hear prosecution. Along with its registry known, from 1911, as the Industrial Registrar's Office, the Court remained under the administration of the Department of Attorney-General and of Justice. The Act of 1908 also established a system of Industrial Boards.

The Industrial Court was dissolved in 1912 with the enactment of the Industrial Arbitration Act, which created the Court of Industrial Arbitration.
