Short, Laurie (1915 - )

Born in 1915, Laurie Short was National Secretary of the Federated Ironworkers' Association of Australia, 1951-82; vice-chairman of the Metal Trades Federation of Unions, 1975-82; and a member of the New South Wales Parole Board in 1984-85. He was awarded an OBE in 1971 and an AO in 1980.
