McKell, William John (1891 - 1985)

Born: 1891  Pambula, New South Wales.  Died: 1985.
McKell was educated in Sydney and became an apprentice and later journeyman boilermaker. He was Assistant Secretary of the Boilermakers' Union when he entered state politics in 1917. He had been a minister in Lang's government and Premier from 1941-1947.
