Trade Union entry CSIRO Technical Association (1988 - 1992)

Summary

Formed as the CSIRO Technical Association in 1988, the union was originally known as the Association of Assistants of the Commonwelath & Industrial Research Organisation which was itself formed in 1952. In 1992 the CSIRO Technical Association merged with the CSIRO Officers' Association to form the CSIRO Staff Association. A year later, however, the Association had merged into the Public Sector Union which is currently formally known as the CPSU, the Community & Public Sector Union.
