Summary
Master Builders Australia, Australia's oldest industry association, was established in the 1870s and was federated on a National basis in 1890 as the Master Builders' Federation of Australia. Operating until 1988, the Federation changed names to becom the Master Builders - Construction & Housing Association of Australia Inc. Six years later in 1994 it was known simply as the Master Builders' Australia, Inc [MBA]. Through its constituent members the MBA has grown to a membership base in excess of 22,000 members and represents national, international, housing, commercial and civil contractors. Its members work in 95% of all sectors of the building industry.
