Summary
Although the Victorian Printers' Operatives' Union [VPOA] was only registered federally as late as 1987, it had existed well before this date. The VPOA was first known as the Printing Trades General Workers' Union. By 1992 the VPOA had merged with the Printing & Kindred Industries Union. After this union amalgamated with the Automotive Food Metals & Engineering Union in 1995 it is now known as the Automotive Food Metals Engineering Printing & Kindred Industries Union, otherwise known simply as the Australian Manufacturing Union.
