Summary
Held in Sydney in October 1879 and organised by the Trades and Labour Council of New South Wales, thirty-nine delegates attended and they mainly represented New South Wales-based unions. However two main resolutions were passed: (i) against assisted immigration, and (ii) against Chinese immigration.
