Summary
Stan Willis was a boilermaker and unionist, successively in the Boilermakers', and Boilermakers' & Blacksmiths' Societies, and later in the Amalgamated Engineering and Amalgamated Metal Workers' Unions. He held a number of official posts in these unions, as well as being active in the Australian Labor Party and in many local organisations in the western suburbs of Melbourne. One of Willis' greatest contributions to the Australian labour movement was in pioneering the Trade Action For the Prevention of Industrial Deafness.
