Summary
Born on the 17 January 1922, Charlie Fitzgibbon undertook the various roles of President and Vigilance Officer of the Newcastle Branch of the Waterside Workers' Federation [WWF], national General Secretary, WWF, 1961-1983 and Senior Vice-President of the ACTU during the period, 1980-1983. Awarded an Order of Australia in 1984. Charles Fitzgibbon died in 2001.
