Summary
The forming of the Queensland Police Union [QPU] in 1915 coincided with the election of Queensland's first Labor government. Indeed, prior to 1915, police regulations precluded members forming such an organisation or association. In 1917 the QPU registered with the Industrial Court. The Queensland Police Union continues to achieve considerable benefits for its members to the present day
