Hospital Employees Association of Australia (1922 - 1949)

Registered federally in 1922 as the Hospital Employees' Association of Australia this union's members predominantly worked in Victorian and New South Wales psychiatric hospitals. Although the Hospital Employees' Association was officially deregistered in 1949, much of its membership had sought the protection offered by the rival union: the Hospital Dispensary & Asylum Employees' Union of Australia well before this date.
