Australian Institute of Journalists (c. 1892)

The Australian Institute of Journalists held its first meeting in Melbourne in February 1892. After June 1892, the Institute became known as the Australasian Institute of Journalists, which consisted of a federal council administering districts and sub-districts in all the colonies.
