| Eliot Valens Elliott was Federal Secretary of the Seamen's Union of Australia [SUA] from 1941 until 1978. Elliott was also a member of the Communist Party of Australia until 1972 when he joined the Socialist Party of Australia. Elliott was originally from New Zealand and was Secretary of the Queensland Branch of the Seamen's Union prior to his election as Federal Secretary. Elliott died in 1984. |
