| The La Trobe University Staff Association was established with the setting up of the University in the late 1960s. It became a member of the Federated Australian University Staff Association [FAUSA] and dealt with problems of academic staff within the University and representing them on University Committees. The amalgamation of FAUSA with the Australian National University Administrative & Allied Officers' Association and the Union of Australian College Academics in 1993 helped form the National Tertiary Education Industry Union. |
