Queensland Railway Strike (1948)

Archival/Heritage SourcesPublished Sources
Strike
Location: Queensland
Workshop and running sheet tradesmen employed by the Queensland Railways Department went on strike in 1848. The reasons for the strike were over a long running dispute on how the state Arbitration Court dealt with claims. In particular how the Court failed to hear a claim lodged by the relevent unions from the previous year.
