| The Association of Professional Scientists of Australia was federally registered in 1962. Amalgamating with the Association of Professional Engineers, Australia in 1991, the Association helped create the Association of Professional Engineers & Scientists, Australia. Three years later, in 1994, the Senior Managers' Association (Postal & Telecommunications Commissions) and the Australian Broadcasting Commission Senior Officers' Association merged also, helping to create the Association of Professional Engineers Scientists & Managers, Australia.
