Confederation of West Australian Industry (1975 - 1992)

The Confederation of West Australian Industry was formed in 1975 after the West Australian Chamber of Manufacturers, which was itself established in 1890 (although not registered as an organisation under federal legislation until 1899), and the West Australian Employers' Federation (1913) merged to form the one body. On the 1 January 1992, the Confederation merged with the West Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry to form the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Western Australia.
